Can I apply for an Azerbaijan e-Visa as a matter of urgency?

Planning a trip can sometimes be stressful, especially when the unexpected happens. If you need to get to Azerbaijan quickly and don't yet have a visa, you're probably wondering if you can get an e-Azerbaijan Visa in a hurry.

The eVisa system in Azerbaijan

The eVisa is an electronic travel authorisation that allows travellers to enter Azerbaijan without needing a traditional visa affixed to their passport. This system greatly simplifies administrative procedures and saves time when preparing your stay.

To be eligible for an eVisa, you must be a national of one of the countries on the list of eligible countries and have a passport that is valid for at least 3 months after the expiry date of the eVisa. Applicants must also provide certain personal details, such as their name, date of birth and nationality, as well as details of their trip.

It allows the traveller to stay in Azerbaijan for a maximum period of 30 days within a 90-day period. This type of eVisa cannot be extended.

Can I apply for an Azerbaijan eVisa in a hurry?

Azerbaijan eVisa applications are generally processed within one working day. However, in urgent cases, it is possible to request accelerated processing of your application within 3 hours, but we do not offer this. Here's what you need to know:

Express processing times

By choosing the "express processing" option when submitting your eVisa application, you can expect to receive a response within a reduced timeframe. The timescales offered are generally as follows:

  • Standard treatment : working days
  • Urgent treatment: 3 hours

Please note, however, that these timescales are not guaranteed and may vary depending on the volume of applications received by the Azerbaijani authorities.

Requirements for an urgent application

To benefit from accelerated processing of your eVisa application, you must meet certain conditions:

  1. Your journey must be imminent (less than 72 hours before the planned date of entry into Azerbaijan).
  2. You must provide all the documents required, such as a copy of your passport and a recent passport photo. The information provided must be accurate and complete.
  3. The eVisa application fee must be paid in full when submitting the form online. The amount is higher than for a standard application, due to the express processing.
